Steve Lidbury

Crouchie has been a significant addition to the BEFC line-up since his debut in 2005. The fact Steve took a few games to start hitting the back of the net (sometimes from unmissable positions) as well as his love for Liverpool and vehement defense of Peter Crouch (his favourite player) as "not being shite" had earned him the early moniker. Since then has proven that he his more worthy than a struggling bench-sitter such as his nakesake might suggest, but is first pick striker for the club. He is constantly running (sometimes til he pukes) and hungry for the ball  and his overall enthusiasm has really helped revive the club.  His hat-trick, including a 30 yard piledriver against Maritizio in 2006 was one of the gathering highlights and helped him to the Golden Boot award and BEFC best player in 2006.
